Special Dies

The giant leaf and sun face  show the most elaborate and expensive type of die we offer. These are two-part dies and mold setups, which cuts and form a part in a single press operation. This consists of a cutting de with a forming module attached, same as the one step cut/form kokopeli and butterfly, but with the addition of a solid mold that the part is formed into. This approach helps with designs that need more support for cutting, over what is given by a urethane pad, and  also increases the depth of forming that can be achieved, over what can be done with urethane at a given pressure.
