Two- Step Dies

The puffed heart and large puffed flaming heart  were made with a two step process. First the shape is formed into the center of a sheet of metal, then the flat border is trimmed away in a basic cutting die, leaving a part that’s neatly and uniformly puffed. These are called “matrix and blanking die sets”.
